1. HANSA Industries’ CED Paint Shop (cathodic electro-deposition) houses an interconnected assembly of 13 tanks (3.2m length X 1.8m width X 1.5m depth), paired with 3 fully automated Transporters to maximise efficiency and achieve precise dip timings. Tanks being internally connected also ensures that the solvent within them is used optimally with minimum wastage.
2. The sophisticated and fully automated system design along with the state of the art technology at the heart of HANSA’s CED Paint Shop are all aimed at achieving 1000 hrs in SST (salt spray test) on the outer surface and upto 500 hrs on the inside surface of the Air Tanks.
3. Variables like Temperature, pH, TDS (total dissolved solids), chemical concentration and dip timings of the tanks are continuously monitored to allow for instant course correction using an in-house Paint Shop Lab, that houses all the requisite equipments including DFT meter, analytical balance, oven, pH and conductivity meter etc.
4. Provisioning of a multiplicity of valves including 3-way valves and by-pass routes in piping ensures that the Paint Shop at HANSA can function seamlessly, even while maintenance work is underway, making it possible to produce upto 18000 Air Tanks in a month at full capacity.
5. The provisioning of spray along side dipping in the PT (pre-treatment) and UF (ultra filtration) line ensures a thorough cleansing and quality paint finish for the job work. To minimise the accumulation and deposition of phosphate in the plumbing system of the assembly, HANSA’s CED Paint Shop has also set up an additional water rinse tank after phosphating, unlike the regular 12 tank process that’s currently done pan India.
6. Knock off degreasing and Degreasing tanks containing hot water have been thoroughly insulated to minimise heat losses. 10 of the 13 tanks in the assembly also have a FRP (fibre reinforced polymer) coating to further prolong their lives and use case.
7. The Fully Automated Oven also makes use of a hot air curtain that minimises drop in temperature inside the oven that might be caused due to periodic opening of oven doors.
